What really matters to you?
Sometimes we are faced with different challenges, life can get busy, and we can lose touch with what truly matters.
There are many approaches that we can take to help us make changes in our lives. It’s not just about talk therapy or focusing on our thoughts. The connection that we have with our body, emotions, mind and spirituality (i.e. regardless of your spiritual views) are all part of this process.
During the past fifteen years I have been fortunate to work closely with people in hospitals, community health and private practice. I have provided crisis services, short to long term treatment, group programs, provided trauma counselling to men and women within Wellington Correctional Facility, acted as a legal officer at local court and provided on site consultation to various organisations.
I use various therapeutic approaches such as hypnotherapy, artistic techniques and consider the body as an important link in helping create change. However, I have also received training and integrate other various approaches in treatment such as; Narrative Therapy, Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Trauma Focused Therapy and Mindfulness.
